The ASLMS Board of
Directors is proposing for member approval, modifications to the
Society’s Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws. The original documents
were created when the Society was much smaller, change was less rapid,
and members were actively engaged in managing and operating the
Society. The Articles of Incorporation have been brought up-to-date
consistent with Wisconsin Statutes. The proposed changes in the Bylaws
are consistent with the need for the Board to provide leadership for a
much larger organization, in a fast-paced environment, working with a
professional staff.
A
quorum for mail balloting is five percent
(5%) of the total voting membership of the Society in good standing.
For this Ballot, a minimum of 222 Ballots must be received to constitute
a quorum. 66.67% of the total votes cast on each proposal must vote YES
for the proposal to pass.
